Safety
Keeping yourself safe
When we help someone who needs first aid, we must keep ourselves safe. This could mean looking out for any dangers, or making sure we’re with an adult we know and trust to help us. Remember, we can always call for help if we need to.
In these activities, you’ll learn how to look out for some of the dangers that could cause an accident. You’ll also practise calling 999, so that we can safely get help in an emergency and look at some safety scenarios.
Learning objectives
- Learn and understand ways we can keep ourselves and others safe
- Learn and practise how to assess and spot dangers
- Practise how to plan ways to reduce danger and make things safer
Don't forget to tell us what you think about First Aid Champions. Your feedback matters!

- a burn
- bumped their head
- a cut that is bleeding a lot
Look at the first aid skills to explore what to do, or check what you have learned with the quizzes.
