What to do if someone burns themselves

Step 1.
Cool the burn under cold running water for at least ten minutes.

Step 2.
Call 999 if the burn is severe or a child has been burned.

Step 3.
After the burn has been cooled, cover it with cling film or a clean plastic bag.
